As we move ever closer to the New Year we get to choose whether or not to carry our ‘baggage’ with us or whether this might be a good time to deal with it and leave it behind – not so much a resolution though something to consider if it could unwittingly spoil a new wonderful relationship or thwart otherwise amazing ideas or dreams.
Recently a client explained that he’d never tried to dance again… ever since his ex-wife had put him down not long after they met and now regretted denying himself the pleasure of dancing with his new partner. Another client had made an unconscious decision that slightly plump people were more attractive than skinny people and was now finding it incredibly challenging to lose weight.
Why not take a few minutes to review the baggage you’re carrying around with you, needlessly. Words spoken in haste, without thought, or deceptive brain messages may have caused you to make decisions which are now imposing all sorts of limitations on you, outdated, outmoded limitations. Is it time to identify them? Is it time to deal with those old issues which are potentially spoiling something in your future?
